Well, That Escalated Quickly!

Yesterday I found myself being really grateful that January had finally come to an end, and that maybe February would finally give us a little bit of stability.

Good luck with that!

Pretty much the first thing that happens as we roll over into the new month is that things take another nose dive in the cryptosphere. And another US Government shutdown looms, disrupting many things.

I can't help but feel that most of what's happening these days is one-way traffic (downwards), and I'm not just talking about investing. Seems like pretty much everything in the world is falling apart, lately even the price of gold and silver.

Which leaves me wondering if we are actually at the threshold of somewhat of a return towards the analog aspects of life.

What I mean by that — for example — is how I had an overwhelming desire to just unplug everything, and so something very "real," like tidying up the garage, or cutting down some of the dead limbs broken during winter storms.

One of the things I noticed this morning is that Hive no longer pays rewards in HBD, as of yesterday. The latest round of declines sent the price of the Hive token tumbling through the trigger point where rewards swicth to Hive as payouts.

Doesn't really mean much to me, since I am not in a cash-out frame of mind... but notworthy, none-the-less. I can't remember the last time we got rewards in Hive, rather than HBD.

So what do we DO when our usual fallbacks have broken, and stuff just isn't working anymore?

Obviously, you can tell that I am still taking a little time to write a few words... perhaps as a way to vent a few elements of frustration. I remember someone pointing out a very long time ago that the best time to "get busy" is when the token price is really depressed...

I believe the theory goes that we get more Hive for our buck... so it becomes easier to build a HivePower balance. Whether that's true or not, I plan to continue inching my way forward.

My goal for this year remains reaching 1,500 HP by December 31st, so that's what I am inching towards!
