I suppose sometimes it is better late than not at all, right?
Time for my second progress, staking and savings update of 2025, as it relates to the Saturday Savers Club, and my Hive Goals, in general!
All in all, February was not much to write home about!
Unless you've been living in a cave somewhere, you know that the Crypto markets took a substantial downtown that affected practically everything.
Makes me feel rather grateful that I am actually measuring most of what I am doing in terms of "native tokens," rather than fiat currency.
Just to recap, my primary objective here for 2025 is to (1) reach 1,200 Hive Power and (2) accumulate 250 EDSI (formerly EDS) tokens.
I made a little progress, but it's looking increasingly like a very tough goal to reach. Still... onwards!
The progress chart, as it looks right now
Ironically, it seems like some of the places where I am making the most progress are on some of the "minor" community tokens. Not complaining, mind you! I'll take all the little victories I can get!
Last update I wrote a little about hoping the new US administration would be good for the Cryptoshere.
Not sure what I think about what's going on there... so far, the only thing I see is that volatility has increased considerably; proof — perhaps — of just how MUCH this entire industry seems to run on rumors and speculation, above all else.
In some ways, I am just glad that I am not exposed to all that much outside our little "sandbox" here on Hive!
And that's pretty much it, for this update.
Feel free to leave a comment — this IS "social" media, after all!
Considering the amount of volatility around, you're doing well 😀 The thing about the little wins on the Tribe Tokens is that you can keep building on them, and allow them to generate their own growth through staking and tipping rewards. Then swap any excess over the goal into other tokens you're working towards (especially EDSI) or even take the SWAP.HIVE, turn it back into HIVE and power it up.

I'm just trying to find the most effective ways to maximize the "dust motes" from what I am doing... the whole thing is basically self-funding, so strategy is of the essence.

I think you’re very steady with your goals. Volatility has become a part of normal daily life! We could expect more sudden changes. But you’re safe in this community.
I try to be as steady and determined as I can... I have no real money to invest, so it's all about making the most of my rewards here, without cashing out.

I always measure in native tokens as the values are so volatile it just makes my head hurt to do it otherwise. Unless there is a HUGE spike in a token I don't mind cashing out of.
The volatility sure does seem off the charts, these days. I just take my small victories however I can get them...
