There's really no place like home.

You can travel to the finest cities in the world. You can sleep in fine hotels, eat in big restaurants, take fine picturess. But at the end of the day, your heart will still be looking for homeeee!!!🥹

Home is not just the building...... Home is the people inside.

Home is where family is everything.

It is that place where everybody knows your name. Where you don't have to pretend. Where you can laugh so loud and nobody will judge you.

The true meaning of home shows during Christmas.

Christmas at home is different.

That morning, nobody is a big man...(lol) Everybody is in the kitchen...
Mama is cooking jollof...., papa is trying to kill the chicken and the chicken is running, children are shouting, neighbours are coming to greet.,...

And the best part??🌚🌚🌚🌚.... Everybody will gather around one plate.

One plate. No spoon for big man, no spoon for small pikin. Everybody will eat together, gist together, laugh together. That joy you feel in that moment, you cannot buy it with money.

In the city, everybody eats alone. You press phone, you eat alone, you sleep alone. But at home, food tastes sweeter because it is shared. Joy is bigger because it is shared.

Home is where you are corrected with love. Where your mother will shout at you and still keep food for you at night. Where your father will advise you and still pray for you silently.

Home is where you belong even when you have nothing.

The world outside is fast and noisy. Everybody is hustling. Everybody is busy. But home is calm. Home is peace.

That is why no matter how far a person travels, when December comes, everybody wants to go homeeeeee the feeling is amazing!!🥹

Because there is no joy like the joy of coming back homeeeee. The hugs, the noise, the laughter, the old stories, the night gist under the moon....omorrr...

Home is not perfect, but it is everything.
