LIFE BLESSING: Celebrating my 18th birthday, a very special moment

Good day, dear hivers! It's @riona09 again, back with another blog. For this blog, I have already mentioned there in my previous blog that I just turned 18 and I celebrated it a little late, so I'm going to share to you the happenings during the celebration and how I truly enjoyed every minute of it.

Turning 18 is a once in a lifetime milestone, and although my actual birthday was on march 4, I celebrated it a few days later and honestly, it made the moment even more meaningful.

THE PREPARATION

I, we, woke up early that day because we know that it will gonna be a very long ahead, and I was right. Everyone were busy cooking and I was just there to assist them since I don't know how to cook any of those dishes they are planning to serve to the visitors. Here are all the foods, by the way.

The reason why I did not do much during the preparation for the foods because I was really assigned to decorate the design for our background so that we can take pictures aesthetically. Designing was my favorite part and I am very grateful for my friends who came early to help me design it. Here's how it turned out and I was amazed by how cute it turned out.

OPENING OF GIFTS

Another part of the celebration was the opening of gifts. I honestly wanted to open it with my own, privately, but since a lot of them said that it would be nice for them to see my reaction to their gifts so I opened it right in front of them. It was totally okay with me if they came empty-handed since I did not request for this celebration because I wanted to receive gifts, their presence are enough for me. But as I unwrapped each one, I felt mixed of excitement and gratitude. It wasn't just about what was inside each paper bags, but the thought of and effort behind every gift. One thing that I love about receiving gifts is not about the material itself, it was because through these gifts, I can have an idea of how people see my and how deeply they knew me.

As the celebration went on, I just found myself pausing ton take everything in, the laughter, the smiles and the greetings that filled the room. I felt incredibly grateful to be surrounded by people who have been art of my journey. Overall, the celebration was heartwarming. Everyone seemed to enjoy the event, and hearing their kind words and their appreciation ,made me so happy. But more than anything, it was the feeling of completeness knowing that the people who mattered to me the most were there, and it made everything perfect.

My 18th birthday celebration may have been a little delayed, but it turned out to be exactly how it was meant to be.
