Hello, it's Three Tunes Day. C'mon, let's have a blast with this.
For the record, #ttt (Three Tunes Tuesday) is an ongoing initiative which is organized by @ablaze for all music lovers. Catch the full gist about that HERE.
It's time for another Three Tunes adventure and, as usual, we will be exploring a few songs for our love of music. So, join me on this ride.
For the past few editions of Three Tunes Tuesday, I've been highlighting songs from lesser traditional music categories like Phonk songs and even Darkwave songs. Check my recent editions of #ttt for the songs I shared in those.
Now, let's focus on this week's edition...
This time around, I will be sharing songs from more traditional music categories. Enjoy;
1. ANOTHER LOVE by Tom Odell.
For a song that was released over 10 years ago, this song is actually really good. It also has the clean old school element attached to the music video. That's exactly why it doesn't have any of the trendy nudity visible in the video.
There's so much to enjoy about this song, especially the lyrics and the chorus. The piano work is also very cool and it fits well into the tone of the song. It sure isn't a surprise that some element of this song highlights Odell's heartbreaking personal experience.
2. HARLEY IN HAWAII by Katy Perry.
This is one of those songs that's really good yet didn't get the sort of recognition that's typical for a Katy Perry's trending song. For example, ROAR and DARK HORSE has over 4 Billion views (each) on YouTube. Meanwhile, this particular one has less than 200M views.
I rate this song really high and I fancy the good blend of Reggae and Pop in this. The music video has become even more memorable after I watched how the bike gangs in Sons Of Anarchy flexed Harley throughout the 92 episodes of the show.
3. HIGH ENOUGH by K.Flay.
There was a time when I had this song on repeat. However, just like I do with all other songs, there also comes a time when I go a whole year without playing the song. Haha. This particular song was in that loop until this very moment.
It's a really interesting song with bold lyrics that highlight certain societal anomalies. Another interesting thing about this song that resonates with me is the beat. It feels super familiar with the sort of beat Imagine Dragons uses.
That's it, Folks.
This has been a really interesting Three Tunes Tuesday edition. I had to go check my music playlist for the category of songs I've been ignoring for a while. Haha.
Glad I did it though.
Thanks For Not Missing Any Full-stop or Comma.
