59K: Almost an orca...
Ever since I started my journey on Hive, at this moment almost 6 years ago, I've been growing my account. I've kept blogging and commenting through the years and invested earnings I made with other games and other platforms.
I made good choices and some bad choices, but after all those years I still believe Hive has a future. That is why I'm here to stay ... and keep growing my account.
And yesterday, I passed the mark of 59K Hive Power.
My growth
I just looked back in my post history to find the first blog where I mentioned I wanted to become an orca. It's actually longer ago that I thought; November '24.
In this blog I saw a screenshot of October 2022 where I announced that I became a dolphin.
Back then I had calculated that it would take me until march 2028 to reach the orca level.
But the decreasing value of Hive and some conversions from my HBD savings to Hive (which could have been way more if I waiter until $0.05 Hive 😐) resulted that I am getting really close already at the momen.
When you look at the ranking based on staked HP on HiveBuzz, you will see that I'm already on the page with the first orca's.
'Just' 3000 more Hive power and I will become an orca. Within two years I've climbed up grom the 518th spot to 374.
Looking back, I didn't have a clear strategy to get there. It was simply a combination of things I already did on Hive...
- Publishing content consistently.
- Staying active in the comments.
- Curating other authors.
- Powering up regularly (joining the #HPUD on the first is a good idea).
- Invested small earnings from other projects and games into Hive .
None of these things are spectacular on their own, but together they can make a difference.
And people always told me that, the more Hive you have, the easier it is ... and that is true.
Every extra Hive Power increases your curation rewards, which means your account starts compounding.
I hope this blog will inspire newcomers to grow their accounts too. The more people stake their Hive and grow their accounts, the better it is for Hive.
For now I'm focusing on becoming an orca later this year. It should be anywhere in the following months.
My next milestone is clear: 63K Hive Power and finally becoming an orca. I'll let you know when I get there, so be sure to follow my blogs 😉

I think this is really good time to invest in hive if you are able to. And to be honest I am sure the price will pump sooner or later and it is going to benefit those users who are here for a long term prospective.

i started the year with 7500 hive or so , made my target to double it before the end of the year , didn't expect it would be that easy to make it .

I am quite certain the $ value of your account was higher 2 years back compared to today, in general.

It surely was a lot higher. But I haven't invested any fiat into Hive, so I still have a profit.
And I had much fun. Most thing you enjoy only cost money.
