Your initiative is one of the indicators of the maturity of this community. However, since you’ve included rewards in the delegation program, the indicator might be slightly skewed by financial incentives. Even so, it will still remain a significant marker. I enjoy the fact that I’ve been following this project since the very beginning of the initiative. For me, it’s something like an observational study with the opportunity to participate.
If such initiatives grow from 1-5-10 to hundreds (I’m speaking generally about grassroots curation), and greed doesn’t end up prevailing over account owners (which could become an obstacle), you won’t even notice how everything transforms for the better. The changes will be colossal—comparable to shifting from barter to paper money or from manual fieldwork to mechanized farming. It’s a different level of awareness, a different level of society.
At the same time, resources will be distributed more evenly. I would love to see this project go viral and the idea become a shared vision, but perhaps it’s not quite the right time yet. :)
It's just me for now. I don't need to be the single owner or even the owner myself. But As you say I think it can be a real improvement for Hive when it can grow naturally. I wouldn't like it to go viral since it would take me too much time 😀
Let it grow slowly and I can find some extra hands when needed.
That’s the essence of it. If this becomes viral, your increased time investment will start being rewarded financially in a deserving way. It’s a cycle of giving and receiving—it always works like that and no other way. To achieve balance, there needs to be many such initiatives, similar in principle but with differences. You encourage comments, someone else focuses on posts, another on Snaps, and so on. The goal isn’t to create another almighty curator but to have hundreds of curators with significant, but not overwhelming, voting power.
This way, the final value would be shaped not by 5 votes out of 100, but by 95 votes out of 200.
When I mentioned greed, I wasn’t referring to you personally but to the curator as an institution.😁
