Hola querido hiver.

Este era el día grande, el de las exposiciones de los proyectos. Llego al lugar de encuentro por adelantado para hacer algunas comprobaciones técnicas que necesitaba para mi exposición. Después de nervios e intentos, la única solución fue que los que no hablan español se perdieran la traducción simultánea de la parte demostrativa.

¡Te presento a la herramienta mágica! Tiene posibilidades de mejora, pero igualmente nos permitió romper la barrera del idioma. El orador lleva un pequeño micrófono que recoge su voz y con ayuda de la IA devuelve sus palabras a la pantalla en el idioma que seleccionemos.

La encargada de romper el hielo es @alessandrawhite, que nos llevó a un estado de energía muy especial y que nos explicó cómo ha sido su camino en Hive hasta el momento, y de paso hizo una buena descripción general de las principales características de nuestro ecosistema.

La siguiente en exponer fui yo. Los que me seguís habitualmente conocéis mi aversión a los selfies y no encargué a nadie que me hiciera fotos. Me encantó la presentación de @livinguktaiwan. Nos habló sobre las comunidades en Hive, ¡la vida de moderador es dura! Me gustó muchísimo la diapositiva que reproduce las palabras de @ph1102. Me identifico con cada una de ellas. Te pongo aquí la traducción:

Estoy aquí por la comunidad, por mis amigos... Por los buenos momentos que tuvimos, y por los buenos momentos que tendremos en el futuro... En línea y fuera de línea... En Internet, pero también, en el bar, en el barco, en mi casa, en la tuya, o en cualquier parte del mundo...

Tras un breve descanso para comer @alessandrawhite y @mipiano llenaron el espacio de música con un divertido concierto de película.

Los chicos de @mantequilla-soft no paran de trabajar en herramientas para Hive y @tibfox nos contó lo que hacen, profundizando un poco más en @threespeak

La jornada de presentaciones cerró con @ninaeatshere exponiendo las últimas novedades sobre @worldmappin. Por si no te has enterado acaban de lanzar la segunda versión del mapa y ahora su web ofrece muchos más datos, es más fácil de manejar y estéticamente es preciosa.

Después de tantas horas dentro del local del evento apetecía una cerveza fresca sentados en una terraza.

De camino al restaurante en el que cenamos pasamos por la famosa calle de las setas. Me sentí parte de unos dibujos animados que veía de pequeña, David el gnomo. 😁

Hivers buscando la casa que comprarán algún día. ¿Celebraremos un HiveFest en la que escogieron?

Y el día terminó por fin en un restaurante libanés. Elegí una torre de falafel que estaban deliciosos. Un broche de oro al día más importante de los Hive Open Days. Lo mejor es que nos quedan dos más explorar Alicante, ya más relajados.

Hi, dear hiver.

This was the big day – the day the projects were to be presented. I arrived at the venue early to carry out some technical checks I needed for my presentation. After much anxiety and several attempts, the only solution was for those who don’t speak Spanish to miss out on the simultaneous translation of the practical part.

Let me introduce you to the magic tool! It has room for improvement, but it still allowed us to break down the language barrier. The speaker wears a small microphone that picks up their voice and, with the help of AI, displays their words on the screen in the language we select.

The person in charge of breaking the ice was @alessandrawhite, who got us into a very special state of energy and explained her journey with Hive so far, whilst also giving a good overview of the main features of our ecosystem.

I was next to speak. Those of you who follow me regularly know my aversion to selfies, so I didn’t ask anyone to take photos of me. I loved @livinguktaiwan’s presentation. He spoke to us about the communities on Hive – the life of a moderator is tough! I really liked the slide quoting @ph1102’s words. I can relate to every single one of them.

After a short lunch break, @alessandrawhite and @mipiano filled the space with music during a fun, cinematic concert.

The team at @mantequilla-soft are constantly working on tools for Hive, and @tibfox told us what they’re up to, going into a bit more detail about @threespeak

The day’s presentations wrapped up with @ninaeatshere sharing the latest updates on @worldmappin. In case you haven’t heard, they’ve just launched the second version of the map and now their website offers much more data, is easier to navigate and looks absolutely stunning.

After so many hours inside the venue, we fancied a cold beer sitting on a terrace.

On the way to the restaurant where we had dinner, we passed through the famous Mushroom Street. I felt like I was in one of the cartoons I used to watch as a child, David the Gnome. 😁

Hivers looking for the house they’ll buy one day. Will we celebrate a HiveFest in the one they chose?

And the day finally ended at a Lebanese restaurant. I chose a falafel tower which was delicious. A perfect end to the most important day of the Hive Open Days. The best thing is that we have two more to explore Alicante, now more relaxed.
