I think many of us subscribe to this mentality that sleep is for lazy people while in our teenage years or shortly thereafter. At some point, I disliked going to sleep early because I could sleep a bit late and get more work done in order to not be left behind by those burning the midnight oil. Now, I know better after experiencing first hand how the lack of sleep influences our body, especially the aging process.
Hahaha, I think the older generation never really understood so much about the body and its many complexities, so they probably didn't know that lack of sleep comes with its consequences. The present generation currently understands more.
I guess good for us in terms of being more understanding than the older generation. We can right out wrongs before they reach a stage of irreparable damage. Prevention is better than cure, they say.
