Fearing the inevitable feels kinda useless to me, my dad used to say 'when it's your time - it's your time'. When I was younger I didn't understand how he could think so easy about dying, but we all die and we can't do anything to stop it, besides living healthy and all that...

Your dad was right. We easily think of it, the more we get to see it often, experience it around us, and understand it's inevitability. Of course it feels surreal, but that's just the reality of this life.
