That was a close call. I know they're incredibly aggressive and are known to attack people a lot. Perhaps the mother just wanted to get the calf to safety, and getting out of that river was their main priority

Too close for comfort, but I think she was far enough away that she didn't see me as a threat when they entered the river. It wasn't a deep river either, just a wide one!
