I had no idea jaguars were ever that far north. North America used to have so many large predators. It will be interesting to see the downstream affect of reintroducing predators back into these habitats. I would imagine more dear being hunted off will have some effect on the vegetation that can grow in those areas, maybe helping other animals to thrive. Also, cool coin!

They used to roam all over the southern states in the US. They really are needed because without predators the deer populations get so high at time that there isn't enough food. Hopefully we'll see their reintroduction, they are beautiful animals!

Yeah, it would be really cool to see a jaguar in the wild ...hopefully a fully fed one that isn't looking for a fresh snack though haha

I grew up in Illinois, and there were always so many deer that it was often a problem with them jumping into traffic and causing some pretty terrible accidents.
