Some health can be purchased with money. Not every health issue can be solved with money, so the rich may be in the same boat with everyone else when misfortune hits, maybe with some fancier doctors around.
People say time is the most precious thing we have. Someone always ill may not see it this way. But rich people can buy some time too. Either through better health, or by delegating/paying others to do for them tasks they don't want to do themselves so they can focus on what is important to them. But when their time comes, it comes, no matter how wealthy they are. Unless they can find ways of becoming immortal.
Yeah, some health issues can be remedied with having enough money. However I feel that unless that health issue is not the fault of that person, then it makes having and chasing money and giving everything to have it, meaningful.
Some rich people might even have it worse. Some already have terminal issues, and it's just about a matter of time. @thebighiggs mentioned above that in 100 to 200 years time maybe things like aging and some chronic conditions will no longer be a problem of man, I have a feeling that some wealthy people are already thinking of buying immorality, even when we know it's impossible.
We might have solved some of those issues sooner if the pharma industry didn't have a different agenda.
