Splinterlands Social Media Challenge- Flipping 5 Epic Mystery Cards! " Olivia of the Brook Review"

(edited)

Hello Hive-Peeps!

Olivia of the Brook

Blessed day to all the wonderful people of Hive! It's me again, Eustace-Kidd. For today’s content, I’m excited to share my latest card flipping results from Splinterlands. After grinding in ranked games, I used 37k Glints to purchase 5 epic cards. Here are the results!

5 Epic Mystery Cards

Results

One of the standout cards I received is Olivia of the Brook, an epic card from the Light unit. Here’s a breakdown of her stats and abilities:

Stats

  • Max Level Stats:

    • Health: 6
    • Armor: 1
    • Speed: 3
    • Magic Damage: 1
    • Melee Damage: 2
  • Skills:

    • Opportunity: Monsters with this ability can attack from any position and will target the enemy monster with the lowest health.
    • Reflection Shield: This monster is immune to all indirect or reflected damage, meaning it won’t take damage from Blast, Thorns, Return Fire, or Magic Reflect.
    • Mimic: At the beginning of round 2 and each following round, Olivia has a 25% chance to gain a random ability from the enemy team when hit. Note that abilities like Debilitations, Targeting abilities, Ambush, Weapons Training, Flank, Reach, Charge, and Taunt cannot be mimicked.

Interestingly, the Mimic ability reminds me of a character I created in my fan art for Splinterlands called Loma Zuma what do you think @victoradebiyiart . Loma Zuma has a similar concept, featuring a Snatch ability that allows it to steal abilities from cards it hits with its normal attacks. It’s exciting to see how different abilities can inspire new characters and strategies within the game!

Conclusion

Olivia of the Brook is a versatile card that can significantly impact the battlefield. Her Opportunity ability makes her a valuable asset for targeting weakened opponents, while her Reflection Shield allows her to withstand indirect damage, enhancing her survivability. The Mimic ability adds an element of unpredictability, enabling her to adapt to different strategies throughout the match. Overall, Olivia is a strong choice for any Light unit deck and can be a game-changer in the right hands.

Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts on this card! What are your experiences with Olivia of the Brook? Let me know in the comments!
