X (Formerly Twitter) - My 2 Months Journey As A Premium Member and Completing Monetization Requirements

Ever since I became a member of Hive Blockchain and also since I started playing Splinterlands battles, I started using the X (formerly known as Twitter) as one of the requirements of the Splinterlands Social Media Challenge and Community Engagement Challenge require us to share the blog links on some social media and as I had previously created a Twitter account just for fun, I started sharing the blog links on that and was using the same for Splinterlands purpose.

But, once Elon Musk took over the Twitter and renamed it to X and also popularized this Social media platform further and then came the premium subscription and other stuffs.

Initially, I was hesitant to purchase the premium subscription as that rule of 5M impressions is required to be monetized and many of my Hive friends told that it's not easy to get 5M impressions.

So, I never bothered to make a premium membership purchase.

But I was always active on X not just for sharing the information related to Splinterlands, but also was sharing the blogs created on InLeo platform as it's always a win win situation for all of us including InLeo to grow the user base by sharing the blogs on X and spreading news about InLeo platform.

But, as I started using the X more and more, I started making new friends and then I felt that, I should try premium subscription for couple of months to see how it goes and then, if required, I can cancel the premium subscription as it costs about $8 per month which is INR Rupees 650/month.

So, on January 7th this year, I purchased the premium subscription as shown in above screenshot and started a bit more enthusiastically accumulating the followers and also worked hard to gather the impressions which wasn't easy in the beginning.

But, gradually, I got to know the tricks of the trade of X and started to see that, my account is growing in an exponential curve!!!

The more I was active and was interacting with other users, I was seeing that the responses started increasing the followers count started growing hugely and also the impressions and it was a sporadic growth for me in last month as impressions were like in 100K per post and I was picking up the potential more impression earning tweets from others and used to respond to that and one secret I want to reveal here is that, the tweets with pictures or video clips get to be viewed more than the normal text bases tweets and that was the beginning of the growth for me on X and never turned back after that!!!

In less than 2 months of period (7th January till 1st March) I could see that, my impression related requirement completed (5M impressions one) and I got a confirmation on First March that, I am eligible for the creator subscription and can monetize and earn part of creator revenue.

SO, today, I sat down and understood the requirements related to applying for ID verification and Stripe account setup.

It was fairly easy process to verify the ID as we need to have a Government provided ID in proof in original and I used the Aadhar card issued by Indian Government as it is One of the valid ID proofs X accepts.

So, a selfie and an ID proof of front and backside of Aadhar card just confirmed that the ID verification is completed.

Then, as part of the payment of ad revenue, we were suppose to setup the Stripe account setup and X itself provides an option to set it up internally and we just need to confirm the details of the bank account and IFSC code in order to receive the creation subscription amount directly in our bank account.

So, it's all set as of now and I will have to wait till March 15th to see how much I am earning for these 15 days of time starting from First March and hopefully, it will be more than what I am playing for monthly premium subscription!!!!

If you are someone who is planning for X premium subscription but still hesitant of getting the requirements covered, I would say give it a try and I am sure you can achieve the requirements in a couple of months time if you can spend time regularly on daily basis and I am a proof for that!!!!
