Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - Battle of Taunt Monsters

Good evening and Saturday is almost over for me and some of you might be just seeing the day started.

It's a week which was not that great for me due to not able to post much, but I am sure you are all eagerly awaiting for the Conclave Arcana edition pre-sale to start in 3 days time!!! Are you?

I have been gathering the funds and trying my best to collect atleast 400K DEC in order to buy 100 packs from the pre-sale and I think I will be able to do that from the funds I have from blogging and hope the DEC price doesn't zoom up.

The Conclave Arcana edition is making more news about the different Arcanes and different versions of same cards like gold, legendary and black version.

I am sure the cards will also be as interesting as these different versions we have been reading about.

Coming back to this week's Social Media Challenge, here I am sharing another nice battle which I can say a battle of taunt monsters as Agor Longtail was used in the battle on either side and it is an interesting battle as I share the details below.

This battle was with high MANA cap of 57 and only 5 slots were allowed instead of 6 and the battle had rule set of blood and sunder which means, the monsters when attack a monster with armors, it will get a reduction of armors.

The 57 MANA cost cap means, I was tempted to use my usual suspects of Chaos Dragon and Agor Longtail combination by using dragon summoner in Quix The Devious and the lineup of monsters for me were as below.

Lineup:

1. Djinn Chwala:

Used this at the front position as it is with those nice armors and also has thorns throwing ability when melee attack monsters attacks it.

It also has the enrage ability to get enhanced attack and speed when it's main health is attacked and it never misses to attack because of the true aim ability.

2. Carnage Titan:

As the MANA cost was enough, I planned to use this reach ability monster to add more attack since this monster is with double attack ability and it is also with shield ability to take lesser blow when attacked by melee and ranged attack monsters.

It's 4+4 attack is especially a big blow when a monster like Arkemis The Bear is at the front as that monster with forcefield ability, will only take 1 blow even if it's 5 attack.

So, I consider this monster is a best best against monsters like Arkemis the bear.

3. Chaos Dragon:

The blast ability for this monster augurs so well for this that, it is also with random attack ability to keep attacking each and every monster and that makes it a special monster to be used.

I always use this monster whenever I select a dragon splinter summoner and it gives me the win most of the times.

4. Spirit Hoarder:

I used Spirit Hoarder for it's triage ability in order to heal the Agor Longtail which I had planned to use in the last place just to divert the attack from front monster to backend monster.

It's also with blindfold and dispel abilities to keep it as a busy guy throughout the battle.

5. Agor Longtail:

Lastly, I used this monster with taunt ability to divert and attract the attack towards it.

This is is a flying monster with tank heal ability and has one of the best health 14 health to start with.

It's dual attack is a plus for it and he is capable of taking away battles from other side.

That was the lineup I used and the monsters and summoner combination worked well for me and I could win the battle easily.
