Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - Advantage of Life Leech Monsters

Happy Friday and a happy weekend in advance!!!!

Yes, it's always a great feeling to head into a weekend and especially if it's all raining outside and you feel like having something to munch and also have some Cricket match to watch, then you feel like you are on moon.

I am n same situation today, as it is a Friday and we have an all important Cricket match in Indian Premier League where, my favorite team of Royal Challengers Bengalure take on Saunrisers Hyderabad with RCB having an opportunity to be in top 2 position to have that extra shot at reaching final!!!

That's true, the team finishing in top 2 will get to play the other top 2 finisher and if they lose, there will be another opportunity to reach final and that is something RCB will be looking to by winning today's match!!!

Coming back to this week's Social Media Challenge, as always, I am here to share another nice battle as part of the challenge and also explain why I used this particular lineup of monsters.

The battle I am sharing for this week's challenge is something different in a way that, it is a close range battle with ranged attack monsters get to attack from First position and battle only allows ranged attack monsters because of going the distance rule set.

The battle also had other rule set of aim true, which means, no monsters will miss their target when they attack.

The battle had little league kind of MANA cost cap of 18 and my lineup of monsters were as below with Quix The Devious as my summoner since it reduces the ranged attack by 1 from opponent's ranged attack monsters and that is a important one considering the ranged attack monsters only are allowed to battle.

Lineup:

1. Mar Toren Trader:

With Quix The Devious already reducing the ranged attack by 1, there is another opportunity to reduce it further with this monster as it has that headwinds ability and this also being a heal monster, will be a good one to keep other monsters active.

This battle also being a close range battle, this monster can attack from front position.

2. Naga Assassin:

This is one of the best monsters for such going the distance battles as it evades the attack most of the time and also hits back because of it's backfire ability.

It also adds speed to all ally monsters besides giving that all important 2 ranged attack for the cost of just 2.

It has good speed and good enough health for a 2 MANA cost monster, isn't it?

3. Igor Darkspear:

Igor Darkspear is another 2 MANA cost monster which is very useful with attack and abilities.

It gives 3 ranged attack and has that stun ability which sometimes almost takes out a monster with other monsters attacking in such little league kind of battles.

4. Merdhampir:

Merdhampir is a must to have monster in this kind of battles because it can attack from front, it is a life leech monster and keeps it's health increasing with each attack and is also with cripple ability to reduce the health by 1 from the monster it attacks!!!

Infact, this was the monster which was responsible for this win because of it's life leech ability.

It gives 3 ranged attack for the cost of 4 with all those awesome abilities!!!

5. Crustacean King:

Last but not least is this tank healer monster of Crustacean King, which is a 3 MANA cost monster with 1 ranged attack and also has the ability to build armors for all ally monsters.

This monster, I would say is one of the safest monsters being a ranged attack monster with tank heal ability and armors for all monsters and that to already armor having Water splinter monsters is an additional bonus.

With those monsters, I fought against my opponent who used Death splinter with some awesome monsters in Queen of Crows, Welding Warrior and Soul Strangler, but 2 headwinds means, the attack was a depleted one for these monsters and that was an advantageous situation for me to win this battle.
