Splinterlands - Social Media Challenge - A Battle of Forgotten Ones

Advance Sunday wishes to all as we enter the First Sunday after the Conclave Arcana edition presale is live and I hope you already got into the presale and purchased the number packs you ad planned before.

Well, I had planned for 100 packs and I already got those and waiting for the presale to end and we are allowed to open the packs although the conflicts will be tempting to hold the packs and wait for the airdrops.

Infact, I will be participating for the First time in Conflicts if I plan to do so, but not sure how many cards I can earn for the 100 packs though, but I plan to buy few more packs either from standard packs or starter packs as the 100 packs I brought will never be enough to level up atleast 1 card as common and rare cards needs hundreds of those to be maxed out!!!

I know it's never gonna be easy, but somehow, have to plan on getting more packs as Chaos Legion will be moved out of modern and I do not have enough cards from Rebellion edition to continue playing in modern format.

Coming back to this week's Social Media Challenge, I plan to include below mentioned battle for this week's challenge.

It's a battle of Forgotten One monster battle as the battle had noxious fumes as One of those rule sets and obviously, we had the Forgotten One to be accommodated to counter the noxious fumes rule set as MANA cap was very less.

Here I go with the details of the battle.

The battle had just 15 MANA cap and since the rule sets were noxious fumes, holy protection (divine shield) and counterspell (magic reflect), I thought of using Forgotten One as One of those monsters and my opponent too had this monster used.

My lineup of monsters was as below.

Lineup:

1. Scorch Fiend:

Noxious Fumes rule set means, all monsters will lose 2 health each round and hence, I planned to use this Zero MANA cost monster at front as anyways it will be removed after round One.

Infact, it worked well to remove few of those armors from Forgotten One used by my opponent in front position.

2. Chaos Agent:

Used this to slowdown the exposure of Forgotten One used by me and this monster with dodge, phase and backfire, can evade the attack most of the times and can attack back with backfire ability.

It did survive the attack couple of times from Forgotten One but noxious fumes took it off in round 4, but that also means, it accounted for some of those armors from opponent's Forgotten One used.

3. Halfling Refugee:

Used this for being a healing monster and can even attack with 4 melee attacks.

This 1 MANA cost monster is a new sensation in those little league or less MANA cost battles as it is a healing tank with good attack and health.

4. Forgotten One:

Lastly, I used this monster with immunity ability to counter the noxious fumes battle and my usage of this monster in last position paid off as other monsters helped in getting rid of those armors from opponent's monster and that helped in winning the battle for me.

This monster with retaliate ability, attacked the opponent's monster and retaliate was helpful in attacking back and winning this battle.

Just sharing few screenshots from this battle as always just to give a hint of the way the battle go.

It was an interesting battle and use of other monsters apart from Forgotten One did the trick as those not only slowed down the battle and helped in getting rid of other monsters other than Forgotten One from opponent's lineup, they also helped in removal of armors from the main monster as well which helped the Forgotten One used by me to take control of the battle and win it for me.

It's always nice to win a battle and noxious fumes battles will be even more interesting and challenging to win and this battle is an example for that!!!
