I would like to touch upon a topic which requires lots of wisdom, knowledge, lots of patience and big heart to take harder decisions yet respected by different parties. The topic I would like to discuss here is the negotiation.
Well, in country like India(I am sure it will be same in other countries too), whenever elections happen and there is no majority, the purchase of elected representatives starts and they convene meeting in some Five star resorts to discuss about the formation of Government and which team will get Prime Minister/Chief Minister post, who will get which portfolio.
This may go for discussion for many hours or many days, but, they will come to a conclusion and there will always be some people who are good at getting things done by discussing the positives and negatives and what is better for both or all the parties involved.
This is what the negotiation is!!! Negotiation is the art of making someone to agree to something without getting into fight with the people who are being part of discussion.
The outcomes of the negotiation are required to be bringing out the people from their issues, make them understand the issue and get their agreement and brainstorm the people to come out of their ego/adamant behavior and bring out solutions which are agreed by all the people involved.
The person who is the negotiator is required to be someone good at communication, who uses right words and expresses his thoughts in a meaningful way, who is good at strategy to make people come to an agreement, who have good backup plans in case the original plan is not agreed by all, who listens to everyone and considers all the solutions provided and approves the best among all the solutions.
So, a negotiator has to be someone who is having vast experience in the field of discussion he is going to carry out.
A negotiator needs to be patient, flexible in taking decisions, knows when to end the discussion.
The person who is a negotiator needs to be good at bargaining and making every one understand the situation and patience is the best weapon in winning any negotiation as there will be chaos since everyone will be taking in high pitch.
It's a wonderful opportunity to write about so many topics from the Monthly prompts from December In Leo and I would like to encourage you to write on some of the topics you like for the list shared above.

Tell me what is the last thing you negotiated?
I wake up early and make the coffee, but my wife serves it to me 😅

Happy to see your comment on my blog @ecoinstats :)
Negotiation is always there whether bargaining in a vegetable shop or asking for reduction in wastage percentage in a jewelry shop or even asking for a day's leave with my manager :).
Thanks, have a great day and great week ahead :)
You as well! 🙏
