Bridging LEO to, and between, Arbitrum, BSC and Polygon
One of the most important new features of LEO 2.0 will surely be the ability to earn dividends in USDC by staking your LEO on Arbitrum.
LEO is now a native Arbitrum token, while the existing version on Hive-Engine has become a wrapped version, like the ones available on Polygon and the Binance Smart Chain.
With all these different versions of LEO, it becomes crucial to understand how to move from one to another—for example, to transfer your LEO from Hive-Engine to Arbitrum in order to stake them, or to arbitrage the price between different LEO versions in case of discrepancies across chains.
The first website you need to become familiar with is Leo Bridges:
Its look is a bit basic and definitely needs some updates, but from here you can transfer LEO from Hive-Engine to any of the supported chains, and vice versa.
The bridge options we’re interested in are:
- bLEO (LEO on BSC)
- pLEO (LEO on Polygon)
- aLEO (LEO on Arbitrum)
By clicking on one of these—for example, aLEO—you’ll access the interface where you can enter your wallet info, the amount of LEO to transfer, and approve the transaction.
After entering the address where you want to send your tokens—make sure to input a wallet that supports the network you're targeting!—and specifying the amount, you can click on "transfer."
A pop-up will then ask you to enter your Hive username.
After clicking "ok," Hive Keychain will prompt you to approve the transaction, and within a few seconds your LEO will be available in your Arbitrum wallet.
The same process applies to bLEO and pLEO, with the difference being that the fees charged by Leo Bridges vary depending on the token: for aLEO the fee is 0.99%, while for bLEO and pLEO it's 4.50%.
And what if you want to move your tokens from one of those chains back to Hive-Engine?
The process is very similar, with the difference being that you need to enter your Hive wallet and the transaction will be approved not via Keychain, but through the wallet where you hold your LEO:
In the screenshot above you can see that I can approve the transaction using one of my EVM-compatible wallets, like Metamask or Phantom.
Moving between Arbitrum, Polygon, and BSC
This is where LeoDex comes into play.
Because if Leo Bridges is the connection point between Hive-Engine and the other chains, LeoDex is what you’ll use to move LEO tokens between Arbitrum, Polygon, and BSC.
In this case, the process is even simpler and only requires connecting your wallet—such as Metamask—to LeoDex.
Once that’s done, select the source and destination token, the amount to swap, and the route to use.
The fee in this case, when using LeoDex, is fixed at 2%.
This way, you can move your LEO token wherever it’s most useful, whether that’s for staking rewards, arbitrage opportunities, or to buy another token.

Spostare LEO su, e tra, Arbitrum, BSC e Polygon
Una delle novità più importanti di LEO 2.0 sarà sicuramente la possibilità di ottenere dividendi in USDC mettendo in staking su Arbitrum i propri LEO.
LEO è infatti adesso un token nativo di Arbitrum, mentre la versione già esistente su Hive-Engine è diventata una versione wrapped, come quelle che si trovano su Polygon e sulla Binance Smart Chain.
Con tutte queste diverse versioni di LEO diventa quindi fondamentale capire come passare dall'una all'altra, così ad esempio da poter spostare i propri LEO da Hive-Engine ad Arbitrum per poterli mettere in stake, oppure per arbitrare il prezzo fra una versione di LEO ed un'altra in caso di differenza tra prezzi sulle varie chains.
Il primo sito con cui prendere dimestichezza è Leo Bridges:
L'aspetto è un po' spartano e sicuramente necessita di un restyling, ma da qui è possibile trasferire LEO da Hive-Engine ad un'altra delle chains supportate, e viceversa.
Le voci del bridge che ci interessano sono:
- bLEO (LEO su BSC)
- pLEO (LEO su Polygon)
- aLEO (LEO su Arbitrum)
Cliccando su una di queste - ad esempio quella di aLEO - passiamo all'interfaccia in cui è possibile inserire i dati del nostro wallet, l'importo di LEO da trasferire ed approvare la transazione.
Dopo aver inserito l'indirizzo su cui vogliamo trasferire i nostri token - attenzione ad indicare un wallet che supporti il network che ci interessa! - ed aver indicato l'importo, possiamo cliccare su "transfer".
A questo punto si aprirà un pop-up in cui ci verrà chiesto di inserire il nostro username su Hive.
Premuto "ok", Hive Keychain ci chiederà di approvare la transazione e, dopo poche decine di secondi, i LEO saranno disponibili nel nostro wallet su Arbitrum.
Lo stesso procedimento è applicabile anche a bLEO e pLEO, con la differenza che le commissioni prelevate da Leo Bridges sono diverse da un token all'altro: per aLEO la commissione è dello 0,99%, mentre per bLEO e pLEO è del 4,50%.
E se volessi spostare i token da una di queste chains ad Hive-Engine?
Il procedimento è molto simile, con la differenza che il wallet da indicare è quello di Hive e che la transazione verrà approvata non tramite Keychain, ma tramite il wallet su cui abbiamo disponibili i nostri LEO:
Nello screenshot sopra potete ad esempio vedere che io posso approvare la transazione con uno dei wallet che utilizzo di solito, ossia Metamask e Phantom.
Spostarsi tra Abitrum, Polygon e BSC
A questo punto entra in gioco LeoDex.
Perchè se Leo Bridges è il punto di collegamento tra Hive-Engine e le altre chains, LeoDex serve invece a spostare i token LEO tra Abitrum, Polygon e BSC.
In questo caso la procedura è ancora più semplice e richiede soltanto di collegare il proprio wallet - ad esempio Metamask - a LeoDex.
Una volta fatto ciò, selezioniamo il token di partenza e quello di arrivo, la quantità da scambiare e la "route" da utilizzare.
La commissione in questo caso, se si passa tramite LeoDex, è fissa ed è pari al 2%.
In questo modo potrete spostare il token LEO ovunque vi serva di più, così da poterlo utilizzare per ottenere ricompense da staking, effettuare arbitraggi o comprare un altro token.
