Sad and Good at the same time.

Today, a house was destroyed to build an income property.

I am sad to see the destruction cause it reminds me of the day my neighbor died in a house fire.

I learned that it was an electrical fire, there was no insurance and there was property tax owed. A local Real Estate firm bought the place and is building a duplex as an income property. What will unfold remains to be seen. The company that torn it down is expected to start the foundation once the ground dries out a bit more.

So, it is good that the property will not be neglected.

Now we look at some photos for about a 24 hour period.

The excavator was delivered on the weekend and I figured they would start on Monday. Well, it didn't start for a couple of days and all of a sudden, things changed quickly.

I was slow getting up to take Krimmer out and surprised how much was down in an hour or so.

The house was flattened by lunch time.

This is at the end of the day and tomorrow will be the final cleanup.

I walked around the backside and looking towards my place.

Sure looks different being able to see a vacant lot across the street. Now I suppose I have content for future blogs.
