A Devotional I've Been Waiting For...
I can't believe how much I have been slacking when it comes to content on this account....
Not that my fire is dimmed or anything. Far from it. I've been nose deep into my bible more than ever so I really have no excuse!
Today I took a trip to my local Christian book store, and found a devotional I've been waiting to start reading for a while now.
First, a little back story on it...
This is the Amazing Facts Revelation devotional! It's a ministry I support and have been following since day one of my walk with Christ and when I learned that this devotional was being released, I marked the day down.
Revelation is a pretty important book in scripture and as much as I've studied it, I believe you can never 'know it all'. So this was a no brainer for me.
Amazing Facts had the devotional up on their website over the past month an a bit. The problem was, to get this shipped to Canada would have cost me...About 70 bucks!
Insane international shipping charges, so I decided to wait until my local book store had some in stock. And today was the day :)
I love the preface in this book and one paragraph really stuck out to me...
"...it is a powerful revealing of Christ and the great plan of salvation to redeem the lost and destroy sin forever."
Bam!
That's Revelation to me :)
The quality of the devotional is absolutely brilliant. It's 365 days of content, going through every single verse of the book. So of course, we started at Revelation 1:1 today as I dove in and began my journey over the next year!
What was really cool about this, is in the back of the book...They've got some cool charts about what each symbol represents in Revelation!
Oh I know some of these will always be debated but that's the best thing about scripture right....God even says:
"Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord...."
Isaiah 1:18
Man, I'm fired up for this experience...I just finished a massive verse by verse study of Daniel and Revelation and following it up with this...Has got me pretty excited :)
I need to find more time to read the good word. Life pulls you away. Thanks for the reminder.

I hear ya! I have made a commitment, which has helped. No matter what, I tell myself I'm reading....Every day, regardless of how much I don't feel like it. Seems to have worked so far over the past few months lol
