RE: 🪓 Tree Trimming To Prevent Future Camper Injuries 🏕️ & A Brief Run For Our Lives 🏃‍♂️

Everyone in the village thought the idea was crazy and weird, but now that some of the pickets have been installed we are getting compliments on how nice it looks.

I think it's common in rural areas, because even in Suriname some houses didn't find the need to put a fence. The funny thing was though, that even if they didn't have a fence, they had a "gate" 🙈😂.

Funny you mention that, I have seen quite a few gates without fences in Suriname. Here it's more common to see a fence without a gate. I think the fences are so necessary here because people let their cows loose during the day, and if your garden or land is unprotected your harvest could be gone in a matter of hours.

Ah yes, that explains it. Where I used to live some neighbors also had a cow or two or goats and before we lived there they asked my dad if the cattle could graze there.

The only thing that bothered me of the no fence, were the dogs who came after my ankles early morning when I used to take the bike to school 🤣. A couple of times people/neighbors had to come to my rescue hahaha.

Crazy that the dogs went after me on the bike but left the pedestrians be.
