A Walk in Cavite After the Typhoon

Hope all are safe and well! ☺️❤️🙏

It was one of those days when I finally got the chance to go out after being stuck indoors for days. I was still living in Cavite for a short time back then. The typhoon had just passed, and the weather was finally calmer. The roads were still wet, the air still carried that fresh, cool scent after the rain, but thankfully, our area wasn’t flooded. We only had to endure the heavy rains and strong winds during the storm, which I was very grateful for.

I needed to buy a few things, so I decided to walk to Dali to get some groceries. On my way, I also stopped by the drugstore to get some essentials.

Then, I went to the ATM booth to withdraw a small amount from my Hive earnings. I don’t have a regular job at the moment, so what I earn from Hive really helps me a lot.

Once I reached Dali, I picked up the last few things I needed for the week.

With my small grocery haul, I started walking back to my place. While on my way home, I noticed something that instantly lifted my mood, the sun was finally out. After days of gloomy skies and non-stop rain, seeing the sunlight peek through felt like a blessing. It was warm, but not too hot, and it gave me hope that better days were coming after the storm.

Along the way, I took a street scene that might seem ordinary to others, but to me, they’re little memories of my life in Cavite. They remind me of the simple joys, like being able to walk outside again, feeling the sun on my skin, and knowing that life always moves forward, no matter how long the rains last.
