Hello everyone!
Hope all are safe and well!
After our exhilarating Osmeña Peak Exploration, my friend and I arrived in Argao, Cebu just past noon, famished and ready for a meal. Thankfully, our feet led us to Street Side Bistro by Oj’s Torta, a simple and inviting spot that caters to travelers passing through.
When we walked in, the bistro was quiet and clean. We picked a cozy corner table by the mural. Our cozy spot with Argao’s vibrant art behind us. And soon the friendly staff presented their menu. As we waited for our food, we chatted and took a few snapshots. This place has a relaxed, roadside charm perfect for unwinding after a hike. ❤️
We were very hungry, so we ordered foods that can satisfy our hungry stomach. 😋
We had silog meals. It is a classic Filipino breakfast, lunch or dinner comfort food. 🤭😋
We had fried chicken platter. It is buttery crunch on the outside and tender meat inside. Each bite was crave worthy. It's a crowd favorite.😋
We had batchoy. It is a hearty noodle soup with rich broth, pork, boiled egg and chicharon. It felt like a comforting hug and perfect after a long trek. It's their best sellers. 😋
The foods was a lot for just two people, but we devoured it all, our hunger powered by the peak experience. We laughed and reminisced, sharing stories amid the cozy bistro setting.
Street Side Bistro by Oj’s Torta is small but big on heart and flavor. It’s a perfect detour for tired hikers, real, satisfying food without fanfare. The bistro reflects Argao’s pride in its famous torta and offers an authentic taste of local culture.
If you’re exploring southern Cebu and need a proper meal after Osmeña Peak Exploration, stop here. You’ll leave full, happy, and maybe with a box of torta to go. ☺️❤️
