A Newbie's Introductory Post: ESL Teacher and a full time mom striving in Hive platform

Hi! I am Nicole Banilad. I am a grateful mother of two teens from Lapu-Lapu City, of Mactan Island, the Resort City of Cebu (Queen City of the South).

Motherhood is a demanding job. With this, I chose to quit work and became a 100% full time mom as soon as they started elementary years. I decided to dedicate all my time and attention to them in order to know them well, inch by inch, and personally assist them in their academic endeavor. True enough, they grew up competent, well mannered, and resilient.

I love music and can’t let the day pass without listening to it. On weekends, kids and I bond by watching good family movies as long as time permits us too (when the three of us are all free from our tasks). Ops! By the way, I am a single mom. A blessed single mom in bliss (winks!). And since we are a bloodline of music lovers, find us able to sing (well I say) on certain occasion and at times in the karaoke room when we miss doing so.

At home, each of us faithfully does our household duties. Children need to be taught as young as they are since I believe that true success in life is seen on how well we manage, organize, and maintain order and neatness in our house. And with much love we have for life, we love cats too as part of our home. Our home is not complete without the meows, head bumps, scratching, running, play bites, and of course the cat fights 😉. And to show one of them, meet Goldie. The most neat and handsome cat who loves to travel, and if he’s not, he likes to sit by the window watching the world goes by.

It is a privilege to be here in this platform/blockchain. I am truly thankful for this opportunity wherein I can write and express the bumps and plains of different avenues in life. I hope this introduction finds you well and pleased as you end up reading here. I am excited to do more write-ups/blogs to share with you. My reverberating applause to this wonderful beginning.
