For me, if you’re working abroad, it’s really important to save for yourself too because we can never predict what might happen in the future. Sometimes, even your own family can turn their backs on you once you no longer have anything to give. I’m only saying this based on what I’ve seen from some of my neighbors and even friends who have worked abroad.
There’s nothing wrong with helping your family, and it’s really good to be able to help others. But we shouldn’t forget ourselves either. We should have our own savings so that if the time comes when we want or need to take a break from work, we have something to support ourselves with.
Honestly I'm worry about her. Money is important in the Philippines. All her siblings depends on her.her niece graduated medtech passed board exam but get married have a child without job. My friend wa disappointed because she help her niece to support the younger sibling but got married after passing the board exam. Now the niece Hindi na nag message. Ang laki Ng ginastos Niya since high school.
It’s sad that this happened, but it was also her choice. I just hope she realizes that she also needs to save something for herself.
