The Upside -Down Adventure : A Red Thread Tale

Red is a color that represents strong, intense feelings, passion, love, and desire. People say that if red is your favorite color, you're bold, boisterous, and full of energy. I certainly felt this to be true as we embarked on " The Red Thread" challenge #161.

We were tired and hungry after the graduation photoshoot at LPU-Davao. When tired, we often seek comfort food. Filipinos especially loved to eat and relax as a way to cope with tiredness, stress. sadness or even happiness. We always find reasons to celebrate our feelings. So, remembering the new restaurant nearby, we decided to stop in.

It began as a casual meal, then suddenly I remembered the " THE RED THREAD" challenge. I immediately took out my cellphone and took pictures of all the red things around. The casual meal unexpectedly transformed into a vibrant adventure. The place and our journey were entirely in shades of red.

The LPU logo, a bold splash of red, hinted at the color theme to come. Stepping into the restaurant, we were enveloped in a sea of red. The walls, the staff uniforms. Everything seemed deliberately chosen to match. It was a feast to my eyes, as much as to my hungry tummy. And B-O-O-O-M like a magic, my watermelon juice perfectly complemented the décor and the staff uniform 🤣😋 with its vibrant reddish hue. The refreshing taste matches my savory dishes, too.

After the sumptuous meal, we head home and rest for about an hour. The Red Thread adventure did not end there. Next, our nimble feet led us to a truly unique destination. An upside-down room, a whimsical world where gravity took a holiday. There were about five or six rooms there, and luckily, three rooms were bathed in different shades of red. Offering a kaleidoscope of playful possibilities, especially for the children in our group and me 😁 because I will be needing it for the Hive "The Red Thread" challenge

In the first room, there is a classic car hanging suspended from the ceiling, defying logic and gravity in equal measure. The photos we took were surreal perspective shifted by a simple turn. Making the car appear to be beneath us instead of above. The car's vibrant red perfectly complemented the room's theme.

The second room featured a striking red staircase. Its crimson steps lead upwards into this topsy-turvy world. We found ourselves hanging upside down as our laughter echoed through the room. The staff captured the moment in a series of hilariously upside-down photos. The vibrant red of the staircase created a stunning visual contrast against the neutral-toned walls.

The final room provided a bold and unexpected conclusion. A bathroom 😅completely immersed in a sea of crimson. Walls and fixtures are in shades of red. It created a surprisingly striking and memorable scene. Hanging upside down in this crimson restroom, we couldn't help but laugh at the absurdity of it all. Capturing the moment in photos that perfectly encapsulated the spirit of " The Red Thread Challenge"

The Red Thread Challenge wasn't just about following a color. It was about embracing the unexpected. Finding joy in the simple and creating vivid memories like a crimson thread that connected them all. From the vibrant red of the Mixed Temptation restaurant, its staff, and the watermelon juice, to the playful crimson of the upside-down rooms. Our adventure was a testament to the power of a single color to transform an ordinary day into an extraordinary experience.
