In today's generation, technology is already part of children’s daily life. Most kids spend their time on cellphones watching videos, playing games, and staying quiet in one place. Sometimes, gadgets become their babysitter keeping them busy while adults do their work.

Here in our farm, we choose to expose her to gardening. When she has no playmates, the garden becomes her playground. For her, planting is not a chore it is a fun activity. She enjoys holding the soil, watering the plants, and watching them grow day by day. What looks like simple play is actually deep learning for her.

Yesterday, we bought 3 packs of seeds 2 cucumber and 1 okra. We planned to start a small seedling business. Even before we started planting, we already received an order. It was unexpected, but it gave us hope and motivation to continue. Our goal is from a simple activity to small business. So that we save it for her snacks and buy her needs and wants.

We started with easy plants like cucumber and okra. As we plant together, I can see how my daughter is learning. She is becoming more patient as she waits for the seeds to grow. She is becoming more responsible as she helps water the plants every day. She is also learning to appreciate nature, farm life and understand where food comes from.

We still have more seeds like bokchoy and others, and we plan to grow them too so we can offer more choices to our customers. But more than that, I am happy because I see my daughter growing not just physically, but also in knowledge and values.

This simple gardening journey is teaching her lessons that no cellphone can give. It teaches her patience, responsibility, and love for nature.

Some parents allow their children to use gadgets without limitations. Parents should put limitations.
Great that you trained her at a young age on planting.
This was a nice way of parenting! Hoping I could do the same to my son but we no longer had vacant lot to do so!
You know what, with the current happenings, living in a farm like you is such a relief
