There’s something special about waiting and this week, I was reminded of that in the simplest way.
Nine days ago, I decided to sun-dry our oregano leaves. I carefully washed them, laid them out, and trusted the process. Every day, I would check on them, hoping they were drying just right. But to be honest, there were moments I wondered if they would ever get there.

And then today, I picked one up crushed it between my fingers and there it was a perfectly dried, ready to use for cooking, wooohooooo! I was really happy, jumping up and down! Hahaha. Hubby even said what's wrong with you! Did you win the lottery?!!😄😍😍 Well, that would be a plus!😄

I felt so happy over something so small. It may just be oregano to some, but for me, it was a little victory. A reminder that good things really do come when we give them enough time.

Of course, I have to give credit where it’s due, thank you to Mr. Sun for doing most of the hard work!😎
He showed up every day, shining without fail, doing his job perfectly. Me? I just prepared the leaves and placed them outside. So honestly, all the credit goes to him - I was just the assistant!😍😄
But beyond the laughs, this experience made me reflect on something deeper. There are so many things we can do if we are patient and willing to wait. Not everything happens overnight. Some things need time, care, and consistency.
DAY 1

DAY 9

I’m also grateful that I had the time to do this. In our busy lives, having a moment to slow down and try something simple like this feels like a blessing.
Self-reliance truly pays off. In times like these, when prices keep going up and things feel uncertain, being able to do even small things on our own makes a big difference. It may not seem like much, but it adds up and it teaches us to depend a little less and trust ourselves a
little more.
As I use these dried oregano leaves in my cooking, I’ll remember this small journey, the waiting, the sunshine, and the quiet joy of seeing it all come together.
Sometimes, the simplest things bring the deepest kind of happiness. And maybe, just maybe, those are the moments worth sharing.
Thank you for reading my post and oh before I forget, I started drying chillies now too! So stay tuned for that one as well. Summer has one good thing for me even if it's very hot taking a bath three times a day but seeing my oregano Leaves a success well it's fine with me now Mr. Sun!😎😍
See you in my next.
Remember, you are loved!
@aideleijoie♥️
Congratulations for your perfect drying oregano leaves mine was not successful maybe because that time was always raining. I will try again to dry my oregano leaves I planted.
Now is the perfect time to dry because it's the peak of summer season. You should try drying again after nine days you will have your own oregano ready for cooking an addition to the kitchen herbs.☺️🥰
I love how small wins like this can make us so happy, parang nanalo na rin sa lotto.
Hehe, oo nga jackpot na jackpot po talaga if kasama Pati si Lotto sis!😍
