My daily flower | Bougainvillea
Greetings friends, today is Holy Thursday, and on TV there are only movies where Kirk Douglas is young and attractive. I think it’s Ben Hur, the film that is broadcast every year during these dates since the arrival of television in my country.
This Thursday I decided to join the #mydailyflower, which is dedicated to the Bougainvillea, known in my country by the name Santa Rita. I have no idea why.
This Santa Rita or Bougainvillea must be almost 20 years old, since it is one of the first plants my mother planted when they moved here.
It is practically a tree, and the flowers grow above the crowns of the neighboring trees. That’s why we only see them when the flowers fall to the ground, or when we lift our eyes to the sky.

Saludos amigos, hoy es Jueves Santo, y en la TV solo hay películas en las que Kirk Douglas es joven y atractivo, creo que es Ben Hur la película que se emite en estas fechas cada año desde la llegada de la TV en mi país.
Este jueves decidí unirme al #mydailyflower que está dedicado a la Bougainvillea, conocida en mi país con el nombre de Santa Rita, no tengo idea del por qué.
Esta Santa Rita o Bougainvillea tendrá casi 20 años, ya que es una de las primeras plantas que sobró mi madre cuando se mudaron aquí.
Prácticamente es un árbol, y las flores están sobre las copas de los árboles vecinos. Por lo cual solo la vemos cuando caen las flores al suelo, o cuando levantamos la vista al cielo.
