From Seed to Sale in 30 Days: A Profitable Raddish Farming Journey

Hello my fellow @hivegarden friends! Happy Sunday and I hope you're all doing well.

Living in the province has taught me to appreciate simple and practical farming. Today, I want to share a story from or radish farm. Even though I am not the one who planted it, I witnessed every step of the process. Watching it grow and seeing the harvest made me realize how powerful simple farming can be.

Radish is one of the easiest crops to plant. It grows fast and does not require complicated care. One of the main reasons we planted radish is because it is very easy to sell. Many people buy radish for daily cooking, especially for soups and healthy dishes.

The best part is that from planting, it only takes about 30 days before it is ready to harvest. That short growing period helps farmers especially our family earn faster and recover their expenses quickly.

Here is the simple step by step process we followed

First, the soil was prepared carefully. The soil must be loose and soft because radish grows under the round. Stones and weeds were removed sometimes we spray it and organic fertilizer was mixed into the soil to make it rich and healthy. But sometimes we planted directly without organic fertilizer but the result is not good.

Second, the seeds were directly planted inyo the garden bed. Small lunes were made in the soil, and the seeds were placed with proper spacing. They were lightly covered with soil and watered gently.

Third, the plants were watered regularly. Radish needs enough moisture, especially during hot days. After a few days, small green leaves started to grow. We also removed weeds around the plants to make sure the nutrients went directly to the radish.

In just 25 to 30 days, harvest time came. It was exciting to pull the riadhs out from tej soil after harvesting, the leaves on the top were removed. The radish were placed in the sacks and carried for washing. They were washed properly to remove all the dirt, then dried for a short time.

Once dry, they were packed in clean cellophane. After packing, they were ready for delivery. Seeing them clean, fresh and ready to sell was very fulfilling.

Radish is not only profitable but also healthy. It is rich in vitamin C, good for digestion snd helps strengthen the immune system. Sometimes, when we have a cough we make a salad and eat radish salad after 2days we are okay.

Thank you for reading my story about our radish farm journey, this is my owned picture. The lead photo was edited in Canva. Through this experience, I learned that simple crops like radish can bring a steady income in our smiley. Success in faming need patience, care and faith in the process. Above all hard work in every day farming so that we can harvest abundantly.

This year, the radish harvest has been really good. And delicious dishes can be made from these radishes. However, cleaning the radishes and marketing them is more interesting.

Oh, 30 days? Really? It can be planting in low land?

Yes, It grows fast and harvested in 30days. It can grow also in lowland areas, can be hot, so watering is important, but not too much.
