Hello, Hive friends! 😊
Yesterday was one of those busy but fulfilling days that feels me why I love gardening so much. Early in the morning, we harvested plenty of fresh vegetables from our farm. We delivered most of them to the public market because selling vegetables has become one of our family's extra sources of income.

Before we left, I made sure to set aside some of the freshest harvest because I already had several orders from my co-parents at school. This time, I prepared Pinakbet Sets so it would be easier for them to buy everything they needed in one bundle. I thought it was a fun and practical idea, and thankfully, they loved it.

My husband spends a lot of time taking care of our vegetable farm, while I enjoy managing my own small organic backyard garden. Most of the vegetables we cook at home come directly from my backyard. It makes me happy knowing that the food on our table is fresh, healthy, and something we grew with our own hands.

One thing I always pay attention to is our eggplants. I noticed that they grow healthier and produce better fruits when it plant in the farm and my husband used some chemical or use organic fertilizer. It may take more patience, but seeing healthy plants and shiny purple eggplants makes all the effort worthwhile.

Right now, we are harvesting eggplant, string beans, ampalaya, okra, patola, squash, sigarilyas, green chili, and cucumber. Seeing all these vegetables growing together always makes me smile because each one started as a tiny seed.

To my surprise, I received more orders than I expected. Unfortunately, I couldn't supply everyone because our harvest wasn't enough this time. I even joked to my friends that my vegetables had already reached their limit! Still, hearing my co-parents say they love buying from us because our vegetables are fresh, affordable, and straight from the farm truly warmed my heart. So I said on the next harvest I will make some pinakbet set to supply their needs.

Aside from my school orders, some people also come directly to our house just to buy vegetables. Knowing that they trust the quality of our harvest motivates me to keep planting and improving our garden.

Gardening has become more than just a hobby for me. It gives our family fresh food, extra income, and the opportunity to share healthy vegetables with others. Every harvest reminds me that patience, hard work, and love always bear fruit.

Let's continue planting, growing, and enjoying every blessing that comes from our gardens.
