Flexing my family's undeveloped garden, Start planting to have organic and healthier life🥬🍆.

Hello everyone to my fellow Hivers, friends, and followers especially to the active lovely members of @hivegarden Community 🙂 it's me @clarabels How are you this beautiful Saturday? Wishing you all have a blastful weekend ahead☺️. This is my first time uploading published post here in this lovely community and for today's blog, I am thrilled to share with you all about my family's undeveloped garden here at Punta Cruz, Bohol without further Ado let's go ❤️

It was early in the morning, and we were planning to visit our garden to check on the vegetables we had planted recently. On our way going to the garden, we took a shortcut through this area since the garden is quite far from our house.

When we arrived at our garden, the vegetables we had planted were already sprouting. We were overjoyed because, despite the scorching heat, a new batch of vegetables had managed to grow☺️.

I took a picture of this because I was so delighted. I was the one who planted this silk squash or sponge gourd which we call "sikwa" in Cebuano and "patola" in Tagalog🙂.

On the other side, we also have some dwarf papaya plants, we’ve already harvested from them several times, and I really like the fruit because it’s very sweet😀.

You can also see our banana plants here, though these are just the ones that have grown, since the others were already cleared out during the last harvest❤️.

This also happen to our cassava plants, these are the ones that grew back after my grandfather harvested them quite some time ago. I really love turning cassava into cassava cake, it’s perfect for special occasions and pairs wonderfully with coffee💖

You can also see my niece in the picture, thoroughly enjoying herself as she harvests Moringa or horseradish tree leaves. It is delicious when mixed with vegetables like squash, string beans, and eggplant. It is also even tastier when cooked with fresh fish🐟.

My family and I are planning to plant more crops here such as string beans, sweet potatoes, and corn since there is still plenty of space in our garden, we also intend to further develop the area, taking advantage of the soil's excellent quality and richness, which serves as natural fertilizer for the plants☺️. We also planned to put up a fence around the garden so our pet chickens wouldn't scratch at the soil and damage the vegetables we planted.

Over all, today, We were overjoyed when we checked our garden and saw the blessings we had received, especially the vegetables that would soon be ready for harvest. This is a huge help to our family, given that the prices of commodities particularly fruits and vegetables have been steadily rising. Farming and gardening are certainly not easy tasks, but the hard work and effort you put into planting guarantees a rewarding harvest💖.
