Do a particular plant reminds you of someone special?
Well, little things excite me so much so long as the motive is genuine. Gift regardless of the worth reminds me how much I mean to someone. A simple gift can make my day and make me feel so loved.
I have been able to gift people randomly too and make them feel special , as I believe in reciprocity.
I remember visiting a friend some time ago and got awestruck by her beautiful garden, one plant in particular caught my eyes and I couldn't stop expressing my love for it.
Lilian was paying attention but didn't act like she was. You know those kind of people that listen to your every desire and hope to make it a reality without actually telling you? Lilian was one of those.
Two weeks later, Lilian came visiting me with a gift and when she presented it I was excited like I had won a lottery. It was the agave plant, but a tender one which needed nurturing, i'm not sure if it was from her garden or she went all out to get one for me, but all I knew was that kind gesture made my day.
She asked me where I wanted it around my compound, and we both planted it, sharing stories of how our friendship had stood the test of time. It was my favorite planting experience as Lilian shared some tips on how to be a good gardener.
Everyday I see the plant, I smile so much because it's a reminder that I've got a great listener as a friend , it's a symbol of our friendship and how little things can make us happy.
Today, my agave plant have grown so big and still blooming, courtesy of a good friend Lilian. It teaches me to nurture friendship and value whatever has been handed over to me, big, small or in- between.
I have extended my hands of generosity to people as well by freely giving them vegetables from my garden, like the bitter leaf, Pumpkin, water leaf, scent leaf and other edible vegetables. I have also given people plantain, banana and coconuts, even flowers like hibiscus and lilies. I feel fulfilled that my gift went a long way for them. Some have been able to make money out of those plants, by selling them when it got harvested, others no longer have to buy those veggies from the market, which has save them money and stress and all of these gladdens my heart. Just like the Agave plant reminds me of Lilian, I'm sure they also think of me when they come across the plants I have given them too and that itself makes me the happiest person on earth.

Yes, it's always a symbol of love and friendship. It feels good when someone or a special someone gives us a gift or any gift. It makes us special too.๐ฅฐ๐ฅฐ Have a nice day ๐
You're right, I felt so special and love, seeing the plant everyday reminds me of our bond.
Oh, Agave. Iโve heard that plant for drink and has expensive price. Isnโt it?
Well, it must be feeling great and happiness to see that plant from your friend grow bigger.
Seems like you really pour a lot of love into that plant seeing how beautiful and healthy that plants is. And by taking care of it sweetly, the one gifted that you is the happiest as you made it grow this big and beautiful. And my look at that pretty banana ๏ผผ(^o^)๏ผ
I did pour lots of love into the plant, it felt like nurturing friendship. Thanks for visiting.
To be honest, I'm not fond of giving a bouquet of flowers as a present or a gift... It does show something, but it is a "short-lived" thing... But, providing a living plant as a gift is a completely different story... While you are watering your plant and it grows, the bond between you and the person who gave you is too increasing!!!
