It’s not the best item in the game right now, so I designed it to help bring in revenue for the game: you buy it and attach it to one of your trees, which automates the claim process. Once you’ve claimed the tree, the drone is used up. All items right now work this way—you use them and they run out—because that way I can keep the community actively involved in helping out, whether by using or donating items.
