Just make the right choice [EN/PT]

Making choices seems so simple, after all, it's just a matter of choosing. But if we analyze how much impact this has, we come to the conclusion that, in fact, there is nothing simple about it and that it is much more complex than we imagine, or else we could go crazy with the possible paths and their consequences. Who has seen the movie The Butterfly Effect? A simple notion of how much can happen based on choices, and there is nowhere to run. But anyway, let's not fill this post with theories or philosophical assumptions about what choices are, but let's also not forget how important they are.

Well, I could start by talking about when I made the choice to sell most of my cards and keep only the soulbound and low-rarity ones (of little value on the market, not even worth the trouble of putting them up for sale). But anyway, now I have a limited arsenal, and what used to be good, because I still rented more cards and created dozens of strategies, now we follow the philosophy of improvisation and creativity. But don't think this is bad, it's a different way for me to test my skills so that, who knows, one day I might resume buying or renting.

I really like Splinterlands, but since we're talking about choices and I've completely strayed from the subject, let's get back to what I really wanted to talk about, and I'll be as brief as possible. So, choices are the key to everything, and we don't even know what might happen next, and even if the choice, in our view, is a good one, that's no guarantee of anything. Still, we need to follow the logic of a “right path.” For me, the right path in Splinterlands, most of the time, is to follow the logic of the basics, where a good tank, a “substitute tank,” a backline that has a balance between defense, attack, and support, as well as creative combos. That's basically it. But with this personal “recipe,” I still like to focus on positioning, as this is also an important detail.

So even if sometimes the strategy isn't the best or the arsenal is weakened, if I make good choices with what I have, the chances of victory increase. That's how I follow my game philosophy, choice after choice, creating my own way of being efficient. So enough talk, let's see how today's battle went!

Some points to mention:

Another battle where we have no rules. I'm getting used to this luxury that the lower leagues are offering me. But here, the amount of mana isn't the best. Thirty has become low compared to the high amounts in recent games, but it's still a good amount, and for that reason, I ended up choosing the Death element.

For the tank choice, I chose what I thought was best, and it worked well. A monster with good attributes that can heal itself every round and, best of all, a very low mana cost. My opponent also opted for a low mana cost for this tank, which costs only 1 and is a good alternative when the amount of mana provided is low.

For the back row, my choice was as follows: a substitute tank in case I lose mine (I always have this option), then a monster that can have some important skills and that, if things go as expected, could easily be a tank. In the last positions, a monster to attack the enemy back line, a monster to compose, and then a monster that adds shields and attack to the team.

It's not a dream team, an unbeatable team, but it's a team that did its job, which is to win. So things aren't just about power, but about choices, good choices.

Olá Splinters, bem vindos de volta!

Fazer escolhas parece algo tão simples, afinal, é só escolher. Mas se analisarmos o quanto isso possui impacto, chegamos à conclusão de que, de fato, não há nada de simples nisso e que é muito mais complexo do que imaginamos, ou então poderíamos ficar loucos com os possíveis caminhos e suas consequências. Quem viu o filme Efeito Borboleta? Uma simples noção do quanto as coisas podem acontecer a partir das escolhas, e não tem para onde fugir. Mas, enfim, não vamos encher este post com teorias ou suposições filosóficas do que seriam escolhas, mas também não vamos esquecer o quanto elas são importantes.

Bem, poderia iniciar falando sobre quando fiz a escolha de vender a maior parte das minhas cartas e ficar apenas com as soulbound e as de raridade baixa,( de pouco valor no mercado, não vale nem o trabalho de colocá-las à venda). Mas, enfim, dessa maneira agora eu possuo um arsenal limitado e o que antes era bom, pois eu ainda alugava mais cartas e criava dezenas de estratégias, agora seguimos a filosofia da improvisação e da criatividade. Mas não pense que isso é ruim, é uma maneira diferente de eu testar minhas habilidades para, quem sabe um dia, retomar a compra ou os aluguéis.

Eu realmente gosto de Splinterlands, mas como falamos de escolhas e eu saí completamente do assunto, retomemos ao que eu realmente queria falar e serei breve na medida do possível. Então, escolhas são a chave para tudo e nem sabemos o que pode acontecer depois, e mesmo que a escolha, ao nosso ver, seja boa, isso não é garantia de nada. Ainda assim, precisamos seguir a lógica de um “caminho certo”. Para mim, o caminho certo em Splinterlands, na maior parte das vezes, é seguir a lógica do básico onde um bom tank, um "tank substituto", uma linha de trás que possua um equilíbrio entre defesa, ataque e suporte, além de combos criativos. É basicamente isso. Mas com essa “receita” pessoal, eu ainda gosto de focar no posicionamento, pois isso é um detalhe importante também.

Então, mesmo que às vezes a estratégia não seja das melhores ou o arsenal esteja enfraquecido, se eu faço boas escolhas com o que tenho, as chances de vitória aumentam. É assim que eu sigo minha filosofia de jogo, de escolhas após escolhas, criando minha própria maneira de ser eficiente. Então chega de conversa, vamos ver como foi a batalha de hoje!

Alguns pontos a serem mencionados:

Mais uma batalha onde não temos nenhuma regra, eu já estou me acostumando a essa mordomia que as ligas mais baixas vem me oferecendo. Mas aqui a quantidade de mana não é as melhores, 30 se tornou baixo também de quantidade tão altas nos últimos jogos mas é uma quantidade boa ainda sim e por esse motivo, acabei escolhendo o elemento Morte.

Para a escolha do tank, eu coloquei o que achava ser o melhor e funcionou bem. Um monstro com atributos bons e que ainda pode se curar a cada rodada e o melhor de tudo: um custo de mana muito baixo. Meu adversário também optou por um custo de mana baixo nesse tank, ele custa apena 1 e uma alternativa quando a quantidade de mana fornecida é baixa.

Para a linha de trás minha escolha foi da seguinte forma: um tank substituto caso eu perco o meu ( eu sempre tenho essa opção), depois um monstro que pode ter alguma habilidade importante e que também se caso as coisas forem como esperado, poderia ser um tank com muita facilidade. Nas últimas posições um monstro para atacar a linha de trás inimiga, um monstro para compor e depois um monstro que adiciona escudos e ataque ao ao time.

Não é uma composição dos sonhos, um um time imbatível, mas é um time que fez o seu papel, que é vencer. Então as coisas não estão apenas relacionadas a poder mas sim a escolhas, boas escolhas.
