Pizza A Slice of Madness Brawl Report
Greetings to all Splinterlands players and hive gaming community! This is my report for Pizza A Slice of Madness brawl. We are a guild that plays for fun, competitions and rewards. We play in the weekly guild brawls where we compete with other guilds. Here is our battle report for the week.
Overall Guild Rank: Second Place
Happy to report that we are back on top. We finished at second place in the brawl this week. There's a big gap between us and first place finisher Brave Battlemages guild while we narrowly beat Chaos Dragons guild with only one win.
Top Brawl Participants and my Rank
I didn't do very well compared to my guild mates. While I won six games out of nine, that's only shared twelfth to fourteenth place in our guild top performers.
Selected Game
Here I present one of the games that I won.
The game modifiers were Equalizer and Deflection Field. For the Equalizer modifier, I would instantly include Spellmonger among the units to use. The Spellmonger is only a four mana unit and it has Thorns skill. Thorns returns two physical damage when the skill owner is attacked with melee. In this case, with Deflection Field, Thorns will not work so I did not consider Spellmonger in this game. The max mana to use in the game was forty nine so there were more high mana units to choose from. I had Quora in the frontline then I followed it with three archers, one magic user and one melee with Opportunity skill. The Earth element has two of the highest attack archers in the Foundation set. Wilhelmdale Deputy and Kicking Roc both have three archer attacks. Then there's the legendary neutral A'lan Musketeer who attacks twice in a round with his Double Strike skill. My opponent also had the Earth element but had a different line up than mine. My cards were higher level and better overall. The game ended in my favor.

Spending the Rewards
I bought two gladiator packs from my rewards. I finally had a bit of luck and got one epic card instead of only commons and rares in prior weeks. Gorth is a fire element tank. He has eight mana, five melee attack, twelve life and two speed. He is two mana lower than Chimney Wallstop who is a common card but has the same five melee attack.
Conclusion
We earned 3,500 merits and 40 SPS from the brawl. The reward is generous that we get just from joining and playing brawls. With regular brawls, it adds to my weekly SPS stake. I'm grateful to the Pizza guild for accepting me as a member and gave me a regular spot to join the brawls and earn rewards.
