I’ve been talking with some friends about @splinterlands and how to get started, so I came up with this introductory post about what your first steps would look like, explained in the friendliest and most welcoming way possible so you stick around for a long time in the universe that is this card game.

So I’ll divide this mini guide into sections so you can jump to what interests you the most. With that said, let’s begin:

🟣Investment
Well, this can be the hardest part of the project since I estimate that to get started you need between $20 and $30. $10 of that is to buy the spellbook (I’ll leave my referral link with benefits so we both win), which allows you to play the game and earn rewards. I’ll explain the rest of the money later.

🟣Getting started
I recommend that you begin by playing campaign mode, since it helps you understand the game rules, card effects, synergies, positioning, and it gives you your first cards. Once you complete this mode, we’ll move fully into Frontier mode.

In Frontier mode you’ll start earning your first NFT card rewards of course, you have to win but here you’ll learn more deeply how the game works and what it’s like to face a real opponent. You might even get super lucky like I did and pull amazing cards that will help you both in this mode and in Ranked mode.

Once you’re more familiar with the game, we can move into that mode and buy some cards on the market.

🟣Buying cards
The first thing you should buy are high-level summoners, at least level 3 or higher. With them you can unlock hidden abilities that certain cards gain at specific levels. As for which cards to buy, I suggest cards from the current set called Conclave Arcana, since they can last you around two years in the game. You should also rent some cards to complete your lineups — for that I recommend cards from the Rebellion set or others.

This is where you spend the remaining $10 or $20 depending on your investment. My advice is to play many battles and analyze which cards are most used and at what levels.

🟣Ways to monetize and ROI
If you want to monetize, there are 3 paths. The first is making posts like this one where you can earn Hive by publishing about Splinterlands. The second is playing Ranked to earn SPS (but here you need good cards and to be at least in the Gold league or higher). The third is selling the cards you get in Frontier you might pull black cards or animated black cards like I did, which you can sell in the in-game market. It’s a matter of patience until they sell.

As for ROI, if you apply all these tips, I’d say you can recover your investment in about 3 months if you stay consistent.

Tips
I think the biggest tip is to research the game, understand the meta, and don’t buy cards like crazy. Like I do, try to focus on at least 2 classes and gradually improve them. Another thing is to play even if you lose many matches that’s how you gain experience, and eventually you’ll start winning.

He estado hablando con unos amigos sobre @splinterlands y como empezar; así que se me ocurrió este post introductorio sobre como serian tus primeros pasos de la manera mas amable posible y amigable para que te quedes un buen tiempo con el universo que es este juego de cartas.
Así que dividiré esta especie de mini guía en secciones para que vallas a donde te interese más, dicho esto comencemos:

Inversión
Bueno esta puede ser la parte difícil del proyecto ya que estimo que para empezar necesitas entre 20 y 30 dólares. 10 de estos para comprar el libro de hechizos ( te dejo mi link con beneficios para que ganemos ambos )con el que podes jugar al juego y obtener recompensas. El restante del dinero te lo explicare mas adelante.

Por todo empezar
Te aconsejo que empieces jugando el modo campaña ya que con este entenderás un poco las reglas del juego, efectos de cartas,sinergias, posicionamiento y te darán tus primeras cartas. Ya luego cuando te pases este modo todo full vamos a ir al modo Frontier.

En el modo Frontier empezaras a ganar tus primeras recompensas de cartas NFT , claro esta debes ganar, pero aquí aprenderás mas a fondo como se juega y como es enfrentarte a un oponente real. Incluso puedes tener una súper suerte como la mía y sacar cartas increíbles que te servirán tanto para este modo como para el modo Ranked.
Ya luego cuando estés mas empapado del juego podemos para a dicho modo y comprar algunas cartas en el mercado.

Compra de cartas
Bueno lo primero es comprar invocadores de nivel alto mínimo a partir del 3 ya con ellos podrás desbloquear habilidades ocultas que tienen ciertas cartas en x niveles. En cuanto a las cartas que comprar te sugiero que compres cartas del set actual llamado Conclave Arcana ya que son cartas que te pueden durar unos 2 años en el juego, pero también debes arquilar algunas cartas para completar tus alineaciones y ahí si te sugiero las del set Rebellion u otros.
Aqui es donde debes gastarte los 10 dólares sobrantes o los 20 según sea tu inversión, pero te aconsejo que juegues muchas batallas y analices cuales son las cartas mas usadas y sus niveles.

Formas de monetizar y Roi
Si quieres monetizar hay 3 caminos: el primero es este tipo de post donde puedes ganarte algunos hive por publicar sobre splinterlands, el segundo seria jugar en ranked para que ganes sps ( pero aquí debes tener buenas cartas y estar mínimo en la liga de Oro hacia adelante ) y el tercero es vendiendo las cartas que te salen en Frontier ya que te puede salir cartas negras o cartas negras animadas como es mi caso y la puedes vender en el mercado del juego, ya es cuestión de paciencia a que se vendan.
En cuanto al roi si aplicas todos estos consejos yo diría que unos 3 meses recuperar tu inversión si eres constante.

Tips
Yo creo que le mayor ti es investigar sobre el juego, cual es el meta no comprar cartas como locos y como hago yo tener minimo 2 clases con las que juegues y tratar de ir mejorando dichas clases poco a poco. Otra cosa es que juegues para perder muchas partidas para que ganes experiencia ya que algún momento empezaras a ganar.
