VIBES WEB3 MUSIC COMPETITION WEEK 37, THEME: 1930s - 1940s, "OVER THE RAINBOW" BY JUDY GARLAND, COVER BY @winanda

Hello, music lovers.

This is Week 37 of the Vibes Web3 Music Competition, and the theme for this week takes us back to the 1930s and 1940s.

So, after doing some research, I found "Over The Rainbow" by Judy Garland, and I remembered my cousins once told me about "The Wizard of OZ". I listened to the song and loved it. So I decided to cover it.

"Over The Rainbow" was performed in "The Wizard of OZ" in 1939, a musical film that starred Judy Garland, who played the character, Dorothy Gale, the young girl who desired to live in a better place, and have a better life far away and different from what she faced at that time.

---

It's a beautiful and meaningful song. A song with great imagination and an optimistic mindset, where there are no more troubles, and the dreams imagined would become true.

We always wish for more, something better, a peaceful place free of negativity and as long as we have our ideas, let's always be optimistic about them.

Performing this song was a bit of a challenge for me as I am still working on my vocals, the vibrato and breath control. When I first listened to the song, I was like: "Why is the vibrato in this song too much?" Haha.

I knew I might not have the time to learn another, as the lyrics seemed short and easy to learn. Also, knowing the meaning of its lyrics, the desire to become more, I had to stick to it and challenge myself.
