VIBES WEB3 MUSIC COMPETITION WEEK 28 | "THIS IS MY NOW" BY JORDIN SPARKS, COVER BY @winanda

Greetings Music Lovers.

I present my entry for Vibes Web3 Music Competition Week 28 and as we have no theme for this week, I decided to cover "This Is My Now" by Jordin Sparks. Jordin Sparks was my first favourite female artist and I had her "Battlefield" album back then in the university which I loved playing while reading and other times I felt like listening to the whole album.

"This Is My Now" was Jordin Sparks' winning single that made her the winner in the season 6 finale of the American Idol. The song is powerful. It can help you find yourself and encourage you to achieve your dreams believing in yourself while living in the moment with no doubt of a bright future.

This song is one that awakened a part of me, made me find myself to appreciate my little achievements, pick up my ideas and work towards materialising them and put me into deep reflection when I abandoned my dreams [during a toxic relationship (thank God it wasn't marriage, lol) with someone who was insecure, inconsiderate, authoritative, domineering,... okay let me stop there, lol]. It's a thing of the past, an experience I laugh over now because it was a lesson for me, yeah, I learned a lot.

"This Is My Now" is one of my favourite songs by Jordin Sparks and I felt it was right to perform this song in the studio to have a great feel of the song. Did I have a great feel of it? Oh, I did. I had fun performing this song in the studio.

Now, here is a message: We were created for a purpose and once you find that purpose, go all out to achieve it. If you're in a relationship with someone who doesn't support your dreams or purpose of creation, it's a sign for you to leave because you wouldn't want to find yourself doing what takes away your joy or leave this earth without achieving your purpose.

It will be living an unfulfilled life. Your partner or life partner should gladly help or support you in achieving your dreams and purpose of creation.

"This Is My Now" and this is your now. Go for it.
