It is my pleasure to give my review of performances from week 29 of Vibes web3 music competition.
It was a week filled with phenomenal performances as usual. However, three stood out for me.
@winanda did proper justice to a song I love so much. It's not just about the singing, it's everything in between. Her vocals were superb. It felt like I was listening to the same version of the Zombie song but by a different artist.
This song is one I listened to a lot as a child. It brings that nostalgic feeling. Watching @Winanda perform it, brought back those great childhood memories.
I love how she was in sync with the beats. There wasn't a second in the performance where she wasn't in line with the beats. You could also see the passion she put into this performance. It's so palpable. It was as if she felt the song as she sang. The part where she had to scream the word "Zombie" got me excited and happy because from the original song, I know how difficult that part can be for a singer, but she impressed. This is the kind of performance one doesn't forget in a hurry.
I won't forget to mention that I liked the visual effects she added in her performance. It brought in some excitement. The audio and video quality are really good and I enjoyed the performance.
This performance by @kayor is the kind you never want to end. He did a masterpiece of a performance. His vocals were nothing short of incredible. I almost got emotional while I listened to his performance, that's how powerful it was.
The song he sang is quite a popular one, but one that isn't so easy to perform. Yet, he performed it to near perfection in my opinion. I love how his facial expression showed how deeply embedded he was in the performance. It was a performance that was natural.
I also loved how his singing was consistent from the beginning to the end of the song. He kept on going, and there was never a moment I felt he would go off track.
Thanks to @ricardopercusion, I got to know about the vibraphone for the first time. He used this lovely instrument to give an amazing performance of the song "Será que no me ama" by Luis Miguel. I am always fascinated when I see talented people do wonder and create beautiful combination of sounds using instruments. He didn't disappoint.
I loved how he moved from one tempo to another, while still keep up with the flow. He seamlessly played the instrument like he had been playing it for decades.
The sound is the type that would get you dancing. While watching it, I didn't know when I started to move my feet in unison and before I knew it, I was dancing to the tune. Using such a big instrument to create a wonderful sound is something worth commending. The vibraphone is an instrument that I am now interested in because I am fascinated by all the great things one can do with it.
That's it for my review of performances for Vibes web 3 music competition week 29. The 90s theme brought back a lot of memories and I enjoyed myself. I am looking forward to more awesome performances.
