Oh I have to think hard which one I'd pick over the other.. Let me see, does a toast even count as sandwich? I mean, we don't really eat sandwiches in terms of slices of bread here but baguettes (toasted or not) BUT if I have to pick any sandwich type of food, I go for some type of tuna mixed with some mayo, onion, parsley, nice and creamy on very fresh sliced bread.
In terms of toast, I can get happy even from a baguette toasted with a bit of real butter and peach jam (mermelada de melocoton). This was new to me because growing up I despised any type of jam presented to me, but I Never knew there was a peach version until I moved to Spain and tried that. Simple but so good!
