If I once have enough money I could miss, I would probably like to have a swimming pool as well. Although that's like just idea for the (far) future. First need to build up my income streams and my retirement fund.
About the weather, yes, it feels as it's raining for 6 months or so. It started in the winter and nowadays it's still gray and rainy. Last week, I went working with a long pants (not sure it's good English), a T-shirt and a sweater and it was cold. Apparently it was 13°C, like in June, in the afternoon. It sounds crazy, right?
Not that I like it too warm, Spain is definitely too warm for me in the summer, but a nice 25°C with some sunshine, yea, I would love that!
Did you permanently move to Spain or why did you go there? (If you don't mind me asking so.)
Oh man, our own pool would be even better but for now, I'm very happy to share this big one with our neighbours :) Working on that as well here, more income streams.. But my health keeps kicking me back every time, it sucks.
Damn, 6 months of rain sucks! 13 in June afternoon is cold yes! But I agree, the hottest months here are too hot. Although the first year that we returned to Spain, the summer was just way too hot from June till end of August, while last year, it was only unbearable in July while funnily enough August was a lot better in terms of humidity I think. That really makes a huge difference in how you can deal with the heat.
Most of the year the weather is nice though, no coat most of the winter, just a short period where I used either a vest or a coat when there was rain. There was more rain this winter than the one before btw, still nothing shocking as it clears up most afternoons anyway.
Yes, we are residents here because we were only getting pushback in Holland and I really could not see ourselves get out of the mess we were in thanks to government agencies making mistakes (read: putting us without income 6 months while have the right to get it). I also felt unsafe 24/7 thanks to a dangerous ex and I found a way out, volunteering in Spain in trade for a roof and food. Best decision ever (pretty big one, yes but sometimes you have to make bold decisions to get further in life). It was a crazy adventure and hard without much money at first but we look back on that as one of the coolest things we've done.
I didn't mind you asking :) feel free to do so, if there's something I don't want to answer, I will just tell you ..
