Image upload error on PEAKD [Daily upload limit]
It has been 2 days since I made a post on #hive. Today while drafting a content on #peakd I faced a new image upload issue. While uploading the images, multiple errors pops up on my window. Earlier it used to be my connection issue. But this time around it was different. I quickly took a screenshot to highlight the issue. The error message indicates a daily usable limit. Something that i never encounter on #peakd.
I was surprised with the recent development. Daily limit on image upload issue is very new to me. Earlier there was no upload limit and a user can upload images as much as possible. I went to the image upload option only to find, I have assigned a daily upload limit. It was limited to 20 MiB. I was about to make another content, and have uploaded 4 images only. Now trying to upload more here the #hive dapps is not allowing me. I have consumed my entire limit and it will reset in 21hrs.
Although my daily allowance is 20MiB, I have consumed only 5.34 MiB, still unable to upload any kore images. I know #peakd always try to bring new update, but limiting the image upload may backfire many userbase. As quoted above I only used a fraction of my quota still the apps is not allowing me further upload. I have few screenshot to use here but , unable to upload.
I went back to delete few images from my previous upload, hoping to see some add on limit, but of no avail. Even after deleting few images, #peakd is not allowing me to add more. I have a serious concern with the daily upload limit. I often try to make post with multiple images. The image upload limit may restrict me to draft my content properly.
I may be missing on some recent updates on #hive. But after 2 days of writing facing this unusual error simply took me by surprise. #peakd please help me or guide me for a smooth experience on #hive

.Hey, friend, it caught me by surprise, too. It’s been over two months since I stopped using Peaked; now I use other DApps, because, even though it used to be so efficient… I started having problems creating draft posts and uploading images—the images wouldn’t upload. Well, I switched, and it’s been going well for me. And now I see they plan to charge to unlock certain features; well, everyone has their own policy, but a user with limited resources doesn’t want to have to deal with difficulties.
Which one using now ? This type of restriction certainly not good for rhe evosystem. Moreover I have 20MB limit and used only 5.34 MB, I am unable to use my faily quota. Seems #hive end is near.
I'm using Ecency, you can also use Hivesuite or ScrabbleLife.

This actually happened to me last week! I kept getting errors whenever I tried to upload photos, so I initially thought there was something wrong with my internet connection. Later, I found out that PeakD now has a daily photo upload limit of 20 MB. Even if you upload a photo and then delete it, it still counts toward your daily allocation.
The first thing that came to my mind was, what if I wanted to share my travel experiences? We all know that travel posts usually come with lots of photos! But then I realized that I could simply upload my photos every day until I finished sharing everything I wanted to post.
At first, I was a little disappointed with this new change, but I was able to adjust pretty quickly. Sometimes, we just need to find a way to work around new limitations, right? Hehe!
Of course, if you want a higher photo upload limit or unlimited uploads, you can use Horizon or Explorer instead, but you'll need to pay in HBD.
Well, changes can be frustrating at first, especially when we're already used to doing things a certain way. But eventually, we learn to adapt and find ways to make things work!

The problem is I am unable to upload the entire limit. It made me restricted to only 5.4Mib of my 20Mib quota
Maybe there's problem on your internet connection. Or try to restart your phone. So far, I haven't experienced that.

I wrote about this a week or two ago. They are trying to manage their storage. I think they are going to implement a paid service to give you more room. They actually upped the limit already from where it initially was and I haven't had an issue since then. I resize all of my photos ahead of time in bulk though.
Peakd use to be handy, but now compressing images and uploading take some additional effort. I see if i could switch to ther one,
The price for the medium upgrade really isn't that bad. I've actually been resizing my images for years now simply due to the fact that most people on HIVE are viewing the blockchain via a mobile platform and they aren't usually sitting on a fiber line. Making my photos smaller means they load faster which means there is more of a chance that people will stick around and read my posts versus rage closing them because the images won't load.
It is better to reduce the resolution of the photos ( 1600px max for long side ) and save them as 60% jpg, this way each photo will be under 100 kilos.
It is like adding up more work. It is good to look for other alternative. there are many options

I was also there last week, I kept trying to upload my images but it just went red and then an error came up until I got home, then I went back to create a post and the same thing came up. I have a lot of drafts, about six. Overall, the situation is still the same.
