I don't think a lot of people prefers light mode anyways, I just think most people would prefer dark, because it looks private and very easy on the eye, but it's always an extra option to add the light mode though

Well, I don't know about the demographics, but I use it a lot!
With screen and privacy protector layers, having a fricking bright screen under high light conditions (being outside or inside places that have lots of light) makes it very hard to look at dark screens (at least on mobile/tablets).
So, switching to light mode makes a huge difference in this case. I use both modes because of this problem.

True, while I prefer the dark theme as well, the users need to be able to choose in between light and dark theme. An overdue feature which know completes the picture.
