California isn't horribly humid, nothing like the tropics which you get in Florida. But I lived in the Caribbean for so many years that I don't mind the humidity anymore. As long as you have a decent AC it's not too bad!

We actually purchased a small dehumidifier for up here in the winter time. If we did not run the woodstove in the evening our humidity would be pushing 70%. 😅
With a woodstove burning at night and the dehumidifier we average about 51% humidity !😊
