At times share your battle link it helps, someone might chip one or two ideas.That was what helped me.In addition,I played frontier ranked for almost three seasons.
Upgraded the foundations cards I was rewarded with,to a formidable level.Before I started playing modern ranked.I rented so real good card and mixed them with my foundation cards.And it has been encouraging.

Another thing I found out is, one must spend a little on splinterlands,not breaking the bank,but to you spend some DEC or SPS or CREDIT as the case maybe to get some good cards.

Like me I just bought one pack of the Mini excalation pack during presale.and I am really enjoying my games.And as you continue to play modern ranked,when you win you get some GLINTS and SPS.Those GLINT can be used to purchase a lot of things,like rare cards, portions etc.
