The impact of Silent Sha-vi

Silent Sha-vi is one of my favorite cards. The effects it has in battles can be profound if used rightly. It is a melee attack card, and so, ordinarily it should be put in the first position in battle, but there’s something special about this monster.

At level 1, it has the sneak ability. This ability lets it attack enemy units occupying the last position. So while all the chaos happens on the front line, Silent Sha-vi does its own damage from behind, making it even more advantageous. The more interesting thing is that this ability gives this card the capacity to attack from any position in battle. So instead of occupying the first position, where, in my opinion, it might not really be effective, it can be put in other positions so that it can cause damage to the enemy line up. In addition, it has a good attack power of 2 at level 1, a speed of 3 and a health stat of 5. These are all impressive stats for a card that costs as low as 5 mana.

In other words, Silent Sha-vi is that kind of monster that is good at lurking in the shadows in battle. While units are focused on the heat coming from the front, it goes behind, taking down vulnerable enemy monsters one by one.

Now, let's dive into my battle.

In this battle, my line up consisted of Cursed Windeku, Riftwing, Silent Sha-vi, Supply runner, Xenith Archer, and Dhampir Stalker in that order. Of course, I went with Thaddius Brood as summoner. The ruleset was “Tis but scratches” where all the units in battle gain the cripple ability.

In Round 1, my tank and the opponent’s tank, which are both Cursed Windeku came under attack. Eventually, the opponent’s Soul strangler was taken out by Silent Sha-vi. Next to go was my opponent’s tank, Cursed Windeku which was taken out by Dhampir Stalker. By the end of this round, my cursed windeku was also eliminated.

In round 2, my Dhampir stalker, which suffered heavy attack in the previous round was finally eliminated.

In round 3, my Xenith archer was the first to be eliminated, followed by the opponent’s Dhampir Stalker.

In round 4, both Riftwings occupied the first position for the both sides. I put Riftwing in my line up to do its usual job of soaking up the attacks. Riftwing doesn’t have an attack of its own, but its scavenger ability improves its health every time a unit gets eliminated. There were several attacks back and forth between my remaining units and the remaining enemy units, but no unit was eliminated in this round.

In round 5, my opponent’s Riftwing was finally eliminated after its persistence due to its ability to boost its health each time a unit dies in battle.

In round 6, my opponent’s Life Sapper was eliminated again by my Silent Sha-vi.

In round 7, my opponent’s only remaining unit, silent sha-vi was eliminated and I won the battle.
