Guild Brawls With Pizza 2 - We Are Back To The Podium!

Time flies! Just completed the 214th brawl with my awesome guild, which is none other than Pizza 2 The Deep Dish!

• Fun In The Discord Chats

Really appreciated the interaction in the Discord chats within the Pizza guilds. During the preparation phase, there's a lot of information sharing and discussion on who to fill each fray. During the brawls, there were reminders to members to complete their brawl battles. And after the brawls, there were celebratory messages and some members (including me) would write about our experience in the brawls. Aside from brawls, I thought the donations were also very well organised and tabulated, with lucky draws to incentivise donors as well.

• Moving Back To Bronze Fray

Had 7 battles this time and it was not an easy round, especially when they have recently introduced 3 rulesets for each battle. Moreover, I have rented out most of my cards because I was playing lesser these days.

• We Got 3rd!!!

So for the final result, we were 3rd out of 9 guilds and got 538 Merits and around 15 SPS! A HUGE IMPROVEMENT! WOOOHOOO!

Individually, I had 7 fights this time and I won all 7 of them this time! Finished 2nd within the guild. Due to change in format, wins are actually awarded to the players present in the fray if guilds decided to skip the fray. For this round, there were 1 additional win for me.

Battle 1 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: None

A routine battle, but a well thought out strategy as well. Venari Marksrat made use of Martyr to boost Drybone Raider and the latter got the job done effortlessly. A little tricky who deserved the MVP but I think Venari Marksrat did a massive boost to the damage output, 4 extra damage per turn in fact, so this goes to Venari Marksrat!

Battle 2 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Larissa Kerato

This was a Larissa Kerato vs Quora Towershead battle. Both cards chalked up massive Bloodlust due to the Blast ruleset and in the end it was down the the damage output of both cards and Larissa Kerato edged out in this 1 vs 1 fight, to no surprise. After all, it's a Legendary Gladius card. Phew!

Battle 4 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

One of the stronger combinations in low mana battles is Iziar and healer pair ups. In this case I had enough mana to slot in two healers to support Iziar and with a potential healing of 8 HP per turn, my opponent totally had no chance. These days, I see so many newer cards used by my opponent but sometimes, strategy still matters in the end.

Battle 5 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Sola Ranjell

Less is more here! With just 3 cards for the Earthquake battle, my big cards managed to do well, with Chaos Dragon and Redwyrm Dragon flying high and soaking in all the damage from the opposing team. In the end, we won easily largely thanks to the Magic damage boost from Delwyn Dragonscale!

Battle 6 - WIN

Gladius Card Used: Trapp Falloway

Would you believe if I told you this was a perfect 6-0 win? Even with Demoralise from my opponent, I managed to pull through with a miraculous and incredible perfect win, without losing any of my cards. My opponent spent a lot of time obsessed with Ever Hungry Skull and with Rebirth and Astral Entity's Resurrection, coupled with Ever Hungry Skull's good speed and the Dodge ability from Astral Entity, it managed to survive the entire battle as my cards took down the opposing backline one by one. What an unbelievable result!
